Friday was our Medieval Times experience for our 4th graders! Our knights participated in a medieval tournament including games like horseshoes, chariot races, catapults, and tug of war. Then students got to enjoy a medieval feast, watch a live jousting match, and ended it with a medieval dance led by Mrs. Ritenour. A huge shout out to our amazing volunteers, the Shoop family for providing the chicken, the Mayworth family for brining their horse, Dee’s place, and everyone else who made the magic happen! See our Facebook page for lots of pictures.

Families, we've had a lot of items turn up in our Lost and Found recently!
If your child is missing a jacket, sweater, or water bottle (like the ones shown below) or any other item, students can claim items from the stage in the cafeteria.
Names on items can help the item get back to their owner and avoid being lost.

Tuesday was “You Pick” Professional Learning! Our teachers had the choice to pick their topic based on their professional growth journey. Teacher leaders shared on topics like cooperative structures, understanding and supporting neurodivergent students, and “What are the other kids doing?” which was a make and take for center activities for students. Our amazing team never stops learning. #TheWoodlawnWay #TheBestisYettoCome #70YearsStrong

A collection of lost items has been found and is waiting to be claimed! Please take a moment to look at the pictures. Do any of these look familiar?
If any of these items belong to your child, they can stop by the school cafeteria to claim them. We want to reunite these items with their owners!
Remember to put your child's first and last name on all items, as it helps us get them back to their owner.
Thanks for your help!

Monday morning we had a chance to kick off our Win Win Buddies, our peer mentoring program at Woodlawn. Mentors were trained today and prepared for their impact they will have on our youngest eagles. While impacting the future generation of Eagles, they in turn develop amazing leadership skills that will last them throughout their lives. It truly is a Win-Win! #TheWoodlawnWay #TheBestisYettoCome #70YearsStrong

Huge shout out to the families who joined us tonight for our 5th grade parent night. We had a wonderful turn out as families learned about all things 5th grade! Topics discussed were curriculum, end of the year field trip, our house system, Tag Art, attendance and behavior expectations, and sponsorship for fifth grade events. We can’t wait for a great year in 5th grade. #70YearsStrong #TheWoodlawnWay #thebestisyettocome

Tuesday, we celebrated National IT Professional’s Day by honoring these two IT Queens, Annie Noethlich and Kim Gauger! These ladies work hard to keep us online and ask us our favorite question, “Have you tried restarting?” They also are there when you need them and help us handle all things tech on our campus. We are thankful for their impact and celebrate them for their contribution to The Woodlawn Way. #70yearsstrong #TheBestisYettoCome #TheWoodlawnWay

Help! Our lost and found is overflowing and the lonely items are starting to form a band! We've got jackets, lunchboxes, and even enough water bottles to keep an NFL team hydrated.
Have your student swing by the cafeteria stage to reunite with lost treasures. A friendly reminder: labeling items with a first and last name is the secret to a happy reunion!

Our leaders have been working on learning the different types of lines and now put that knowledge to use to build 3D objects with their lines. Look at this creativity! We believe Everyone has GENIUS at Woodlawn! #TheWoodlawnWay #70YearsStrong #TheBestisYettoCome
