🥫💙 Cracker Trail Elementary Canned Food Drive Success! 💛🐎
Our amazing Student Leadership Team partnered with Heartland Food Bank to lead a schoolwide canned food drive—and thanks to the generosity of our Mustangs, we collected over 1200 pounds of food for our community!
Heartland Food Bank shared this is the largest donation they have seen in months. The group is incredibly grateful for the amount of food they received to share with members of the Highlands County community.
A huge thank you to all of our Mustangs and families who participated and helped make a difference. Your kindness and teamwork truly shine! 🌟

Our amazing first graders brought the halls to life last week with their Annual Thanksgiving Parade! Students proudly showcased the creative, one-of-a-kind turkeys they designed, and our Mustangs lined the halls to cheer them on. 🐎💙
But the biggest surprise? 🎅✨
A special appearance by Santa Claus himself at the end of the parade! He dropped by early to celebrate with our Mustangs and spread a little extra holiday cheer.

Our Cracker Trail Elementary Mustangs are sending a big THANK YOU to the members of American Legion Avon Park Highlands Post 69 for visiting our 2nd grade classrooms recently! 🐎💙💛
As a special closing activity for our students’ War of 1812 unit, Legionnaires of Post 69 taught our Mustangs all about Old Glory, shared important lessons on flag etiquette, and helped bring history to life. Students also learned about the Star-Spangled Banner and the making of the first American flag — a memorable experience they won’t forget!

On Veteran’s Day, our entire school gathered to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Our students lifted their voices in song as a tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our nation’s heroes. 🎶❤️
A heartfelt thank you to VFW Post 4300 for joining us and paying tribute to our veterans with the solemn playing of Taps and the three-volley salute. Your presence added deep meaning and reverence to our ceremony.
